Creamline, Choco Mucho face off in PVL 2nd All-Filipino conference opener

The Creamline Cool Smashers and the Choco Mucho Flying Titans will face off in the marquee matchup of the PVL 2nd All-Filipino Conference's opening day on Sunday.

The match between the sister teams will be played at 7 pm at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Creamline will come in as the defending champions of the first All-Filipino conference this season and runners-up to Kurashiki Ablaze in the Invitational Conference.

Head coach Sherwin Meneses, however, said their first game will serve as an evaluation for his team.

"'Yung kalaban kasi, kahit sino naman, lumalaban talaga. 'Yung first game napakaimportante sa team kasi dito namin makikita kung nag-improve 'yung skills at 'yung buong team," said Meneses.

(The opponent is really tough. Our first game is important because we will know how the team has improved in terms of skills.)

Choco Mucho head coach Dante Alinsunurin admitted there will be pressure playing against Creamline, but he still believes in their chances. 

"Sabi ko nga sa mga players ko, medyo malayo na ang narating namin, basta continue lang kung ano 'yung mga dapat gawin, adjustment sa laro. Sigurado may malaking chance kami na manalo sa first game,” Alinsunurin said.

(I told my players that we have come far, just continue what we need to do, including the adjustments in the game. I'm sure there's a big chance we will win in the first game.)

Prior to the Creamline-Choco Mucho game, Gerflor will face newcomers Nxled at 3 pm, then followed by PLDT and Cignal at 5 pm.
