Akari denies streaking Chery Tiggo; F2 Logistics earns breakthrough win


Akari continued to pull off surprises in the second 2023 PVL All-Filipino Conference, stunning another powerhouse club in Chery Tiggo in four-setter, 25-20, 18-25, 25-22, 25-20, to return to the win column on Tuesday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

Dindin Santiago-Manabat showed her veteran moves as she finished with a game-high 21 points built on 16 attacks, four blocks, and one service ace while Faith Nisperos provided the help with 17 markers.

The Chargers, who also defeated F2 Logistics last week, improved to 2-1 while the Crossovers slid to an identical 2-1 card.

F2 punches first win at Nxled's expense

F2 Logistics finally broke through after carving out a masterful 25-20, 25-14, 25-16 victory against Nxled behind Ivy Lacsina and Jolina Dela Cruz.

After an opening day five-set loss to Akari, the Cargo Movers made sure to bounce back as Lacsina poured in 19 points anchored on 15 attacks and four blocks while Dela Cruz chimed in with 11 markers.

Lycha Ebon was the lone bright spot for the Chameleons, tallying 11 points in the losing effort.

PLDT makes easy work of winless Farm Fresh

PLDT needed just three sets to emerge victorious against the struggling Farm Fresh, 25-17, 25-17, 25-20, as Savannah Davison continued to prove her worth in the tournament.

The Filipino-Canadian spiker put together 18 points built on 13 attacks, two blocks, and three service aces to lift the High Speed Hitters while veteran Honey Royse Tubino churned out 12 markers of her own.

PLDT has now improved to 2-1 while Farm Fresh remained winless at 0-3.
