Micah Christenson says USA will do its best in Olympic bronze medal match

Team USA captain Micah Christenson said they will try their best as they enter the men's volleyball bronze medal match of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

USA will face Italy for a podium finish on Friday night (Philippine time).

"We're gonna try to regroup. This is as heartbreaking as it gets," Christenson told GMA Integrated News' JP Soriano, a part of the Philippine Olympic Committee media team, after their loss against Poland last Wednesday.

"In the situation that we're in, we're gonna do our best to regroup and try to be ready for that bronze medal match. It's gonna be tough but we'll do our best."

Against Poland in the semifinals, the United States lost in a five-setter, 25-23, 25-27, 14-25, 25-23, 15-13.

Matt Anderson had 24 points, while Aaron Russell had 20 points.

France and Poland will compete for the gold medal.
