PVL: Akari downs Nxled to remain perfect; Cignal survives Galeries in five-setter

The Akari Chargers took down the Nxled Chameleons, 21-25, 25-19, 25-17, 25-18, to remain perfect in the PVL Reinforced Conference on Thursday at the Philsports Arena in Pasig.

Import Oly Okaro had 30 points anchored on 28 attacks and an ace, while Ivy Lacsina led the locals with 19 points as Akari extended its winning streak to seven.

Meegan Hart had 16 points, while Chiara Permentilla had 11 points as the Chameleons (1-6) were eliminated from contention.

The Cignal HD Spikers, meanwhile, survived the Galeries Tower High Risers, 23-25, 25-22, 26-28, 25-14, 15-11.

MJ Perez had 34 points, while Ces Molina had 19 points as the HD Spikers improved to 6-1. Galeries, meanwhile, remained winless.

Farm Fresh, on the other hand, swept Capital1, 25-17, 25-23, 25-20, to remain in the hunt for a playoff spot. Capital1, on the other hand, slipped to 4-3.
