SEA V.League: Alas Pilipinas Men win vs Vietnam in first match under new head coach


The Alas Pilipinas Men handed its new head coach a win as it took down Vietnam, 25-21, 25-22, 18-25, 25-23, on Friday in the first leg of SEA V.League at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

This is the team's first match under new head coach Angiolino Frigoni.

The Philippines will face Indonesia next on Saturday, followed by Thailand on Sunday.

Michaelo Buddin had 14 points anchored on nine attacks, three blocks and two aces, while Louie Ramirez had 11 points.

Pham Van Hiep and Duong Van Tien scored 15 points each for Vietnam, while Nguyen Ngoc Thuan had 14 points.

Earlier, Thailand defeated Indonesia, 25-21, 25-23, 25-20.
