Farm Fresh, Capital1 break through with stunners vs. Akari, Nxled

Farm Fresh and Capital1 barged into the win column of PVL All-Filipino Conference after taking key wins over Akari and Nxled on Saturday at the Philsports Arena. 

The Foxies pulled off a major upset over Akari with a 25-23, 25-21, 25-14 victory behind the huge efforts from Trisha Tubu as they improved to 1-2 while sending the Chargers to their second loss in four games. 

The lefty spiker posted 21 points anchored on 18 attacks and three blocks as they recovered from previous two losses to Petro Gazz and Cignal. 

"Unang-una kung makikita natin, tulong-tulong talaga lahat. After ng Petro Gazz game, sabi ko sa kanila hindi pwedeng may babagsak na bola sa atin kasi medyo maliliit kami e," Farm Fresh head coach Benson Bocboc said. 

"Nag-deliver naman kaya ang ganda ng kinalabasan kaya distributed 'yung mga scores ng mga players."

In the other game, Capital1 recovered from a first set hiccup before completing a hard-fought 21-25, 25-21, 25-15, 25-18 victory against Nxled to likewise get its breakthrough. 

Heather Guino-o starred with 21 points built on 19 points and two blocks alongside seven digs and six receptions as they ended a three-game losing streak in the conference and improved to 1-3. 

The Chameleons remained winless with a 0-4 card.
