Clutch Sisi Rondina delivers as Choco Mucho sweeps Chery Tiggo for QF slot

Sisi Rondina came alive late to help carry Choco Mucho past Chery Tiggo, 25-22, 25-22, 25-23, and into the quarterfinals of PVL All-Filipino Conference on Saturday at the PhilSports Arena. 

The grizzled high flyer delivered the last two points as the Flying Titans unleashed a wild third set comeback to enter the playoffs while the Crossovers were relegated to the play-in stage. 

Only separated by a solitary point, Chery Tiggo created a five-point cushion thanks to a 4-0 rampage fueled by middle blocker Pauline Gaston, whose running attack saw them cruising to a 21-16 lead. 

But Choco Mucho responded with a 3-0 run of its own with young middle blocker Lorraine Pecaña ending a long rally through her quick kill, cutting the deficit to two, 19-21. 

Another 4-0 blast capped by a Regina Arocha ace sent the Flying Titans to a 23-22 lead before Rondina put on the finishing kick with back-to-back outside attacks. 

Rondina tallied a team-high 18 points laced with 11 digs while Dindin Santiago-Manabat chipped in 13 markers all on attacks. 

Ara Galang paced Chery Tiggo with 18 points as well together with 12 digs while Shaya Adorado and Princess Robles each tallied 12 and nine markers.
