ZUS Coffee completes PVL All-Filipino Conference QF cast

ZUS Coffee is heading to the PVL All-Filipino Conference quarterfinals.

The Thunderbelles completed the quarterfinals cast after defeating Capital1, 25-22, 25-17, 18-25, 25-17, on Thursday in the play-in tournament at the Philsports Arena.

Chai Troncoso led the Thunderbelles with 15 points on top of 17 excellent receptions, while Thea Gagate added 13 points.

Norielle Ipac, meanwhile, had 17 points to lead the Solar Spikers.

ZUS swept Pool A with 2-0 to take the final quarterfinals ticket, as Cignal finished with 1-1 in the play-in, while Capital1 went winless.

The Thunderbelles will face Petro Gazz in the next round.

Earlier, Nxled capped its conference on a high note after a sweep of Farm Fresh, 25-17, 25-17, 25-18, to finish second in Pool B.

Pool B winner Chery Tiggo, meanwhile, will take on top seeded Creamline. The other quarterfinals matchups include Galeries vs Akari and PLDT vs Choco Mucho.
