Petro Gazz sweeps Akari, books ticket to PVL All-Filipino finals

The Petro Gazz Angels booked a slot in the PVL All-Filipino Conference finals after sweeping Akari, 25-22, 25-20, 25-18, in the semifinals on Thursday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Myla Pablo and Brooke Van Sickle led the Angels with 16 and 15 points apiece as Petro Gazz also completed a sweep of its opponents in the semis as it also defeated Creamline and Choco Mucho.

Grethcel Soltones led the Chargers with 14 points in the losing effort.

Choco Mucho and Creamline will battle on Thursday night and the results will determine the possible scenarios in the finals.
