2025 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship: What You Need to Know
The 2025 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship will be hosted by the Philippines from September 12 to 28, 2025.
A total of 32 teams will compete in Manila to determine who will be crowned kings of men’s volleyball.
Teams Participating in the 2025 Men’s Volleyball World Championship
The tournament will feature eight groups (Pools A to H) with four teams each in the preliminary round.

Where will they play?
The Mall of Asia Arena and the Smart Araneta Coliseum are the venues for the tournament.
Pools A, D, E, and H will play at the MOA Arena, while the other groups will have their games at the Big Dome.
2025 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship Format
Each team will play the others in their group in a single round-robin format.
The top two teams from each pool will advance to the Round of 16, with matchups as follows:
- A1 vs H2
- H1 vs A2
- D1 vs E2
- E1 vs D2
- B1 vs G2
- G1 vs B2
- C1 vs F2
- F1 vs C2
Winners of the Round of 16 will progress to the quarterfinals, followed by the semifinals, and then the championship match.
The losing semifinalists will face off in a bronze medal match.
