NU retires Bella Belen’s jersey no. 4

National University on Thursday officially retired Bella Belen’s jersey no. 4 during a ceremony held at their pep rally at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall, ahead of the opening of UAAP Season 88.

Belen is a three-time UAAP Most Valuable Player and led the Lady Bulldogs to three championships in 2022, 2024, and 2025.

She also played for NU’s high school program, where she won five titles and was named MVP twice.

Earlier this year, she was selected first overall by Capital1 in the PVL Draft. She is also a member of the Alas Pilipinas women's national volleyball team.
