Marcos officially opens 2025 FIVB Men’s World Championship

Philippine president Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. officially opened the 2025 FIVB Men’s World Championship on Friday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

In between the opening ceremony and the match between Alas Pilipinas and Tunisia, Marcos had a ceremonial serve on the court.

This is the country’s first time to host the men’s championship and also the first time that the Philippines joined the global tourney.

A total of 32 teams are playing in the tournament which is being held at the Mall of Asia Arena and Smart Araneta Coliseum.
