The Alas Pilipinas Men notched their historic first win in the 2025 FIVB Men's World Championship after defeating Egypt, 29-27, 23-25, 25-21, 25-21, on Tuesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Team captain Bryan Bagunas led the Philippines with 25 points, coming from 23 attacks and two blocks, while Leo Ordiales added 21 points off 19 attacks and two aces. Marck Espejo, meanwhile, chipped in 13 points.

Seifeldin Hassan Aly led Egypt with 15 points, while Mohamed Osman Elhaddad contributed 14.

With the win, all teams in Pool A (Tunisia, Iran, Egypt, Philippines) now hold identical 1-1 records.
