UAAP: FEU outlasts NU in five-set thriller

Far Eastern University outlasted National University in a five-set thriller, 25-23, 25-23, 20-25, 21-25, 22-20, in the UAAP Season 88 women’s volleyball tournament on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Jaz Ellarina’s service ace sealed the win after an extended fifth set.

Faida Bakanke had 22 points built on 18 attacks and four blocks, along with 11 digs, while Lovely Lopez added 19 points anchored on 18 attacks, along with 25 receptions and 14 digs.

The win spoiled Sam Cantada’s 20 points, 20 receptions, and 13 digs, while Vange Alinsug finished with 19 points, 14 receptions, and three digs.

With the win, FEU improved to 6-3, while NU slipped to the same record.
