Alas Pilipinas Women fall to Vietnam in SEA V.League opener

Alas Pilipinas Women fell to host Vietnam, 29-27, 25-17, 20-25, 25-19, in their campaign opener in the SEA V.League on Friday in Hanoi.

After dropping the first two sets, the Philippines bounced back in the third after building a slim 18-16 lead.

Alas then unleashed a 4-0 run before Vietnam scored to stop the surge, but the Filipinas regained their footing and eventually forced a fourth set.

However, Vietnam displayed its composure in the fourth set to seal the victory.

The Philippines will next face Thailand on Saturday.
