Shuvee Etrata signs off as Tonet in 'The Master Cutter'
Shuvee Etrata has signed off as Tonet in "The Master Cutter."
On Instagram, the Sparkle star shared an emotional farewell message after her character's journey came to an end.
"Thank you so much to everyone who followed and loved Tonet's journey. This project means so much to me. It was here that I learned, grew, and got to know myself better as an actress," she said.
Shuvee also thanked Dingdong Dantes for bringing the cast together on and off camera.
“Thank you for being our Master Cutter! You didn't just stitch us together on the show, but off-camera too. You really sewed us together,” she said.
She likewise expressed her appreciation to Ketchup Eusebio, calling herself fortunate to have worked with him, as well as her fellow cast members, the production team, GMA Creatives, Sparkle, and director Dominic Zapata for their trust, patience, guidance, and the memories they shared throughout the show.
"Thank you to everyone who watched! You always made us no. 1. Especially to my fellow Bisaya, thank you so much. And thank you, Netflix Philippines, for the love and support!" she said.
Before ending her message, Shuvee urged fans to continue supporting the series even without Tonet.
“Tonet became such a big part of me, and I’ll always be grateful that I got to tell her story,” she said.
Earlier, Tonet met a tragic end after Martina (Max Eigenmann) killed her to keep a family secret from Atoy (Dingdong) and Audrey (Max Collins).
Dingdong praised Shuvee for her performance as Tonet, dedicating a post for her.
“Seeing what she did with Tonette just proves she’s got so much more to offer as an actress,” he said.
“The Master Cutter” airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." It is also streaming on Netflix. —Carby Rose Basina/JCB, GMA News
