Pope Francis appoints new bishop of Boac, Marinduque

Pope Francis has appointed Rev. Marcelino Antonio Maralit as the new bishop for the Diocese of Boac in Marinduque, according to a Holy See Press Office bulletin on Wednesday.

According to the Vatican Radio website, Maralit was born in Manila on May 18, 1969.

He was ordained priest for the Archdiocese of Lipa on March 13, 1995.

Maralit is a priest of the Archdiocese of Lipa and pastor of Alitagtag, Batangas. — Kathryn Mae P. Tubadeza/BM, GMA News
