Mark Anthony Fernandez hopes to play basketball in prison
Actor Mark Anthony Fernandez's health is still being monitored after it was discovered that his blood pressure is unstable, but the actor is hoping that he will eventually be permitted to play basketball at the Pampanga Provincial Jail where he is currently being detained.
According to a report by Jun Veneracion on Balitanghali on Friday, jail warden Edwin Mangaliman has given his word that Fernandez will be enlisted for the prison's basketball league at the end of the month.
Fernandez has been under observation since Monday, after his mother Alma Moreno and Atty. Sylvia Flores visited him on Sunday to check on his condition at the Angeles District Jail.
"Except for the blood pressure, 'yung blood pressure kasi, aakyat, bababa—'yun lang—ok naman siya," Atty. Flores said.
Fernandez was transferred to the Pampanga Provincial Jail on Tuesday.
Moreno visited again on Friday despite only having recovered from the flu. The actress said that if she could, she would visit her son daily.
The actress is reportedly following the security protocols and is not receiving special treatment, lining up with other visitors on her way to see her son. —Aya Tantiangco/KG, GMA News
