RP worker in Saudi Arabia arrested for 'illicit' tattoo
MANILA, Philippines - A guest Filipino worker in his 30s was arrested in Saudi Arabia for a tattoo that religious police found potentially offensive, an online daily reported Thursday. Online news site Arab News reported that the Filipino worker, who was not named, got into trouble because of his tattoo that read "Lady Hunter ... KSA." The report said the worker was reported to the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice after an employee of the Saudi Electricity Company saw the tattoo on his arm. At the time, the Filipino had just paid his electricity bill at the local SEC office. The SEC teller saw the tattoo and took it as an "open invitation" to have an illicit affair. Worse for the Filipino, the religious police discovered pictures of Filipina women working in an area hospital, following a search on his house.
