RP consulate conducts outreach for Filipinos in Texas

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles recently conducted outreach programs for Filipinos in Texas, USA. The Philippine post reportedly conducted back-to-back consular outreach programs in the cities of Houston and Dallas in Texas on March 12, 13, 15, and 16. During the outreach mission, the consular team conducted dual citizenship application processing, passport services, legalization of documents, and Overseas Absentee Voting registration. It was conducted in cooperation with the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Texas and the Filipino American Council of South Texas which both provided volunteers. The Consular Outreach Program is a regular activity of the consulate which aims to bring its services closer to Filipinos residing in states within its jurisdiction. Another consular outreach program is being planned for the second half of the year to serve more of the thousands of Filipinos and Filipino-Americans living in Texas, organizers said. - Kimberly Jane T.
