Details of Glenn Dumlao's May 20, 2003 affidavit


SUMMARY OF AFFIDAVITS
Cited as among those who tried to influence and/or had an effect on Dumlao's June 2001 affidavit (names listed in order of mention in the affidavit) 1. P/CSUPT REYNALDO BERROYA
  • rejected several drafts of Dumlao's affidavit because it did not have the allegations that Berroya wanted included
  • commissioned certain persons to force Dumlao to implicate P/SSupt Aquino, P/SSupt Mancao and Sen. Lacson in illegal activities
  • forced Dumlao to "directly link Sen Lacson to illegal activities 'para makulong na ang demonyong yun.' " in a drinking session where Gen Alqueza was present "In the course of all these tactical interrogations, bribe efforts and seemingly friendly accommodations, I was repeatedly ordered to draft and redraft my affidavit. P/CSUPT BERROYA, P/DIR GUALBERTO, P/CINSP RODRIGO BONIFACIO, and P/SSUPT ANONUEVO repeatedly rejected my affidavits, as they wanted a categorical statement from me linking SEN LACSON to the crimes charged therein; and in an effort to polish the fabricated stories contained therein to make it appear credible. It was not until the twelfth (12th) draft of my affidavit that they gave up on me, and finally agreed to have it signed on June 12, 2001 without the assistance of my lawyer." (page 2)

  • wanted Dumlao to implicate Lacson in illegal activities
  • threatened and used physical force against Dumlao to force Dumlao to do what Gaddi wants

  • told Dumlao in a meeting on Dec. 17, 2002 at the ISAFP Chief's office to help in implicating Lacson in several crimes
  • ordered Dumlao to admit to the killings of Dacer, Corbito, Gemma Sorronda and to say that Lacson gave the orders
  • ordered Dumlao to testify in the Kuratong Baleleng case "COL. CORPUS told me that 'Sige, mag-diretsahan tayo, kung di ka tutulong sa amin, ibibigay ka namin kay Ping para patayin ka na. Ayaw namin ang katotohanan. Kung amin ka, dapat total support at i-pin down natin si Ping. Bibigyan ka namin ng magandang buhay at posisyon. Andito lahat ang makakatulong sa yo. Pero kung hindi, magkaka-leche leche na ang buhay mo. Nagkakaintindihan ba tayo? Ibigay nyo sa aking custody ang taong ito. Kasi play safe sya eh, takot kay Lacson. Dito sa ISAFP, I promise you, dalawang araw lang, ang dami ng ikakanta yan.' "COL. CORPUS further ordered: 'Okay aminin mo na ang pagpatay kay Dacer at Corbito, kay Gemma Sorronda at mag-testigo ka sa KB para magkaintindihan tayo. Ituro mo na si Lacson ang nag-utos.' " (page 3)
9. P/DIR NESTORIO GUALBERTO
  • wanted Dumlao "to own up every killing that has been publicized and to point at SEN. LACSON as the mastermind." (page 2)
  • said Dumlao will be implicated in the cases if he does not agree
  • wanted Dumlao to hold a press conference to support Ador Mawanay's testimony against Lacson and to point to Lacson as mastermind of several crimes
  • among others who ordered Dumlao to revise several times his affidavit, asking for a direct statement linking Lacson to several crimes
10. MARY ONG alias ROSEBUD
  • twice visited Dumlao at the PNP-IG office
  • offered $US 250, 000 "in exchange of my cooperation."
  • said US government will give the money if Dumlao supports the Ong's statements at the Senate hearing linking Lacson to drugs and kidnapping
  • gave Dumlao shirts and toys for his kids
11. COL FEREIRA (ISAFP)
  • forced Dumlao to testify at the Senate hearing on the Kuartong Baleleng case and to implicate Lacson
  • told Dumlao that he would be jailed for not cooperating
12. P/CSUPT EDUARDO MATILLANO
  • together with Berroya, requested a meeting with Dumlao in October 2002
  • wanted Dumlao to execute an addendum to the June 2001 affidavit
13. ATTY AGOOT
  • Dumlao requested Agoot to represent him in a meeting requested by Berroya and Matillano in October 2002
  • together with Berroya, Matillano and ATTY PABLICO, wanted Dumlao to give an addendum to the June 2001 affidavit
  • but Agoot told the group that it would take too long because they will still have to ask the court to allow it "I requested ATTY AGOOT to represent me in the said meeting. ATTY. AGOOT. P/DIR BERROYA, P/CSUPT MATILLANO and a certain ATTY. PABLICO demanded that I should execute an addendum to the affidavit that I executed last June 12, 2001. ATTY. AGOOT told them that it would only prolong everything because we have to ask leave of court for that. I did not attend this meeting, only my atty." (page 2)

  • was among those present in the room where Dumlao was brought on Dec 17, 2002; Col Corpus threatened Dumlao into implicating Lacson
  • met with Dumlao on April 28, 2003 at Richmonde Hotel
  • in that meeting, wanted Dumlao to testify against Lacson and others accused in the Kuratong case
  • threatened Dumlao that he will be among the pricipal suspects in the case if he refused to give in to demands
  • wanted Dumlao to tell the media that Lacson, together with other co-accused, is threatening his life

  • Dumlao said Corpus did most of the talking in the said meeting
  • in threatening Dumlao, Corpus spoke in the collective: "COL. CORPUS told me that 'Sige, mag-diretsahan tayo, kung di ka tutulong sa amin, ibibigay ka namin kay Ping para patayin ka na.
