Filipinos in Hawaii mark Good Friday with Pabasa


MANILA, Philippines - Filipino organizations in Hawaii observed Good Friday by hosting the “Pabasa," a traditional reading in a rhyming fashion or song of a book on the passion of Jesus Christ known as “Pasyon" in Tagalog. The event, held at Plantation Village, began at 9 a.m. and went until the evening. The Filipino devotees put up a makeshift altar where they also prayed the rosary, according to the Honolulu Advertiser.. Others prepared food and snacks for participants. - GMANews.TV
