Magnitude 5.1 quake shakes Baganga, Davao Oriental

A magnitude 5.1 earthquake hit off the coast northeast of Baganga, Davao Oriental early Thursday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.

The quake, which was tectonic in origin occurred at 5:39 a.m. at a depth of four kilometers

It was also felt at Intensity I in Bislig, Surigao del Sur.

There are no damages to property but aftershocks may occur, PHIVOLCS also said. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
