Woman wounded in Makati shooting

A woman was injured after two unidentified motorcycle-riding men fired several shots at her vehicle on Chino Roces Avenue in Makati City on Thursday morning, according to the police.

Based on a police report, the incident occurred around 6:50 a.m. in front of a bank beside a condominium in Barangay Pio Del Pilar.

Police said the victim was driving an SUV when two unidentified men on board a red motorcycle approached and fired several shots at her vehicle.

The victim was hit on her leg and thigh.

The suspects, who were reportedly wearing a motorcycle taxi service uniform, immediately fled the area on their motorcycle.

Officers from Sub-Station 3 of the Makati City Police Station responded to the incident.

The victim was brought to a hospital for medical treatment.

Police are looking at possible work-related motives behind the shooting but this remains subject to further investigation. —Joviland Rita/ VAL, GMA News
