Maynilad customers to experience water service interruption
MANILA, Philippines - Residents of Quiapo, Sta. Mesa, Sampaloc, and San Miguel districts in Manila may experience temporary water supply interruptions starting Friday, March 27, until Saturday, March 28. This was announced by Maynilad Water Services Inc. (MWSI), the company that distributes water in these districts. These service interruptions are the result of the companyâs pipe network upgrades, which involve the replacement of valves along R. Magsaysay corner Nagtahan flyover in Manila, Maynilad said in a statement. The water cut-off will start from 10 p.m. (22:00) on Friday, March 27, 2009, until 2 p.m. (14:00), Saturday, March 28, 2009. As a result, the following areas in Manila will be affected, including the whole of San Miguel, including Malacañang, the whole of Quiapo, the Sta. Mesa area bounded by Nagtahan, Magsaysay Blvd., Ligaya Ext., and Pasig River; and the Sampaloc area bounded by Nagtahan, G. Tuazon, Paltoc, and Magsaysay Blvd. Meanwhile, areas in Manila that will have low pressure to no water are the following: Sampaloc area bounded by Nagtahan, G. Tuazon, San Anton, Figueras and Legarda; Sampaloc area bounded by Figueras, Galicia, España, Lerma, Quezon Blvd. and C.M. Recto.
