Shabu laboratory uncovered in Caloocan industrial park
Anti-drug police operatives discovered on Thursday another drug laboratory, this time inside an industrial park in Caloocan City.
Teams from the Philippine National Police's anti-drug task force found drums and containers believed used in making drugs, radio dzBB reported.
The lab in Caloocan City was the latest hidden drug facility to be uncovered by authorities, with at least two others found inside a posh subdivision in Metro Manila earlier this month.
But in Thursday's raid, the teams failed to make arrests in the suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) laboratory.
The suspected lab was found inside the Caloocan City Industrial Park, alongside factories making biscuits and cooking oil.
However, it had high fences and a closed-circuit TV camera (CCTV) system.
The report said authorities were tipped off to the lab when locators in the industrial park noted a sharp drop in activity at the suspected lab this past month. — RSJ, GMA News
