Predawn fire hits QC school warehouse
A fire believed caused by an electrical short circuit razed the warehouse of a private school in Quezon City before dawn Thursday.
No one was initially reported injured in the fire inside the Angelicum College compound in Biak-na-Bato village in Quezon City, radio dzBB's Rodil Vega reported.
The fire started at 2:20 a.m. and reached the third alarm at 2:25 a.m., before firefighters put it under control at 2:40 a.m. The fire was put out at 3 a.m.
An initial investigation showed the warehouse contained paint, rugby and other combustible materials.
Arson investigators are verifying the claims of a security guard who said he saw a light in the warehouse blink then heard an explosion before the fire razed the warehouse.
This led investigators to theorize a spark from an electrical short circuit may have triggered the fire. — RSJ, GMA News
