As summer peaks, Meralco begins power interruptions in NCR, Laguna


The Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) has announced a series of power interruptions in parts of Metro Manila and Laguna starting Easter Sunday due to maintenance and upgrading work. Meralco, in an advisory on its Twitter account, said electric service may be interrupted in the affected areas from April 8 to 15. "Meralco exerts all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled. However, there are instances when due to unavoidable circumstances, restoration may extend beyond the published schedule," it added. Brownout schedules are as follows: April 8 to 9 (Sunday to Monday) –  Malabon and Valenzuela Cities due to replacement of rotten poles, line reconstruction work and other maintenance work along McArthur Highway, Bgy. Marulas, Valenzuela City.
