Barangay councilor shot dead in Pasay City

Armed men wearing black jackets shot dead a barangay councilor in Pasay City in an ambush early morning on Tuesday. Radio dzBB's Sam Nielsen said the victim was identified as Joseph Saria, of Barangay 88 in Pasay City.   The police are still determining the motive for the killing,  Saria sustained two gunshot wounds and was declared dead on arrival at the San Juan de Dios Hospital in Pasay City.   The initial investigation showed that Saria was traveling aboard a motorcycle along Comandante Garcia Street in Pasay City at about 6:55 a.m. when the suspects fired at him.   However, witnesses cannot agree on whether the suspects were riding a motorcycle or a tricycle. - VVP, GMA News
