Power interruptions were scheduled in some areas of Manila, Laguna and Cavite Provinces Wednesday due to repair and maintenance works, the Manila Electric Co. said. On its Twitter account, Meralco said some of the power interruptions had taken place in the morning, but another round of interruptions may occur in the afternoon. In Manila, Meralco scheduled a power interruption between 8:00 a.m. and 8:45 a.m., then between 3:00 and 3:45 p.m. due to the "transfer of facilities" to a newly installed pole along C. Palanca St. in Quiapo, Manila. The affected areas include a portion of P. Casal and Legarda Streets. from Gen. Solano to Mendiola Sts. including N. Padilla, Cruzada Sts.; Don Mariano Bldg., Current Events Digest, PLDT – Quiapo Exchange, Technological Institute of the Phils. – Annex Bldg., Felisa Guerrero Hall (CEU College of Dentistry), V. Mapa High School, Department of Social Welfare and Development and Samson Technical Fashion School in Quiapo and San Miguel. Also to be affected are:
- a portion of Arlegui St. from San Rafael St. to Quezon Blvd. including Farnecio, Vergara, Castillejos, Duque de Alba, Gunao, Elizondo, Barbosa, Norzagaray, Globo de Oro, R. Hidalgo Sts.; MLQU High School and Technological Institute of the Phils. (Castillejos side) in Quiapo.
- a portion of Quezon Blvd. from R. Hidalgo to and including Quiapo Underpass, Times Theater, Jollibee and Greenwich Restaurants in Quiapo. - portion of C.M. Recto Ave. and Mendiola St. from Coromina to J.P. Laurel Sts. including Severino, Buenviaje and Matapang Sts.; Jollibee – U.E. Recto, Orient Pearl Shopping Arcade, STI College, Ever – Gotesco, Corona Supply, San Sebastian College and San Beda College in Sampaloc, San Miguel and Quiapo. - portion of S.H. Loyola (Lepanto) from Bilibid Viejo to and including R. Papa, M. Carpena and Progreso Sts. in Quiapo. - portion of Concepcion Aguila St. from Mendiola St. to near J.P. Laurel including Ycaza, Matienza, Buencamino, Minerva, C. Adela, First, Second Sts.; San Beda Home for Old Monks, St. Jude Catholic and College of Holy Spirit in San Miguel.
Between 8:00 and 3:45 p.m. the interruption is affecting a portion of Carlos Palanca St. (Echague) from Ayala Blvd. to Quezon Blvd. including Teleserve Call Center and San Diego Fishery Enterprise in Quiapo.
Laguna In Laguna, power
interruptions were scheduled due to the replacement of rotten poles in Pacita Complex I Subdivision in Brgy. San Vicente, San Pedro, Laguna. Half-hour power interruptions were scheduled between 9:00 and 9:30 a.m. and between 1:30 and 2:00 p.m., affecting a portion of San Pedro – Biñan National Highway from Watsons Store to and including Pacita Commercial Complex in Bgy. Nueva. Also to be affected are:
- portion of Pacita Ave. from San Pedro – Biñan National Highway to near Macaria Drive including Pacita Complex 1 Subd. Phases 1-B, 1-C, 1-D and 1-E, 2-C, 3 and 5 in Bgy, San Vicente. - portion of Sta. Cavite In Cavite, a power interruption was scheduled due to urgent National Grid Corp. of the Philippines repair works inside NGCP – Rosario substation. A
one-hour power interruption was scheduled Wednesday between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m., and then between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. affecting a portion of Manila–Cavite Road from San Juan – San Rafael Road to and including the whole of Cavite City; Bgys. San Juan and San Rafael in Noveleta.
