EARIST veep gunned down along Pureza St. in Manila
Motorcycle-riding men gunned down the vice president of a school in Manila's Sta. Mesa district Friday night - the second such incident in the last seven months.
Police are gathering leads on the killers of Dr. Noel Cabrera, vice president of Eulogio Amang Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST).
Cabrera was shot along Pureza Street in Manila's Sta. Mesa district, radio dzBB reported early Saturday.
He was rushed to the De Ocampo Memorial Hospital but it was too late for doctors to save him.
Cabrera's killing was the second since October 2011, when Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) vice president for administration Augustus Cezar was shot dead in an ambush also Sta. Mesa, Manila.
