Police zero in on leads on grenade blast at mining firm
Police are zeroing in on leads in the grenade blast that damaged a guardhouse at a mining firm's office in Pasig City last weekend.
Superintendent Alfredo Calamaan, head of the Pasig City police, added they are still considering possible motives behind the attack on Philex Mining's office Saturday.
"May (posibleng) suspect pero hindi (pwedeng) sabihin," Calamaan said in an interview on dzBB radio Sunday afternoon.
Initial investigation showed two suspects threw a hand grenade at the guardhouse of Philex Mining's office in Pasig City at 8:02 a.m. last Saturday.
No one was initially reported hurt in the incident, he said.
Calamaan said they are not discounting the possibility of those protesting against Philex's mining activities as involved in the incident. –KG, GMA News
