Traffic rerouted in Manila, Caloocan for Independence Day


Traffic in parts of Manila was rerouted Tuesday for activities related to the celebration of the nation's 114th Independence Day.
 
On Monday evening, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority posted the details of the rerouting on its Twitter account.
 
 
For northbound traffic from Roxas Boulevard to A. Bonifacio Drive and R-10:
 
  • From Roxas Blvd. turn right at Teodoro Kalaw then left at Maria Orosa St., then left at Padre Burgos, then right at A. Bonifacio Drive to destination.
  • From A. Mabini, turn right at Teodoro Kalaw then left at Maria Orosa St. then left at Padre Burgos, then right at A. Bonifacio Drive to destination.
 
For southbound traffic from R-10 and A. Bonifacio Drive to Roxas Blvd. or Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA):
 
  • From A. Bonifacio Drive, left at Padre Burgos, right at Maria Orosa St. then right at Teodoro M. Kalaw then left at Roxas Blvd. to destination.
  • From A. Bonifacio Drive, left at Padre Burgos, right at Maria Orosa St. then right at Teodoro M. Kalaw then left at M.H Del Pilar to destination.
 
In northern Metro Manila, meanwhile, traffic was also rerouted at the Bonifacio Monument Circle area effective 6 a.m to 10 a.m.:
 
  • From McArthur Highway in Valenzuela City to Monumento, EDSA, and Manila: Go straight ahead and take a counter flow on the east portion of the Bonifacio Monument Circle without using the Rotunda flow and immediately exit toward EDSA. Public Utility Jeepneys (PUJ’s) will turn to J. De Jesus Street to Manila and to their point of destination.
  • Buses bound for Monumento, Valenzuela City and Sangandaan, traversing along EDSA from Balintawak: Turn right to McArthur Highway and to their point of destination.
  • PUJs and other vehicles traversing EDSA: Go straight to BMC then take a right turn to McArthur Highway and left turn to Pinagtipunan Circle to Gov. Pascual Avenue, then to Samson Road and to their point of destination.
  • PUJs bound for Monumento traversing along the stretch of Gen. San Miguel St.: Go straight left and take a turn to Dagohoy St., then to Caimito Road to Pio Valenzuela then back to their point of destination.
  • All private vehicles bound for Monumento, traversing along the stretch of Gen. San Miguel: Take A. Mabini St., and then turn left to 10th Avenue to Rizal Avenue Extension to their point of destinations.
  • Vehicles from Manila bound for EDSA and Valenzuela City, traveling along Rizal Avenue extension: Turn right on 5th Ave., 8th Ave., 9th Ave., or 10th Ave., turn left at B. Serrano to EDSA, execute a U-turn at the U-turn slot of Gen. Tinio to McArthur Highway to their respective point of destination.
  • Buses and trucks coming from Malabon City heading toward EDSA/Balintawak: Turn right at Dagat-dagatan Avenue, and then turn left at C-3 Road, then left at B. Serrano to EDSA to their point of destination.
