Early morning smash-ups disrupt traffic on EDSA, SLEX
Early morning smash-ups disrupted traffic along parts of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) and the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) Thursday.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said a multiple collision involving six vehicles slowed traffic at the southbound part of Magallanes flyover.
It said the incident snarled traffic toward Alabang.
Among the vehicles involved in the incident were a bus, an FX-type vehicle, two private cars, and two taxis.
In Quezon City, a second multiple collision occurred at Visayas corner Elliptical Road, the MMDA said.
But it said the mess was cleared as of 8:01 a.m.
Meanwhile, a four-vehicle collision also slowed down traffic along the northbound part of the South Luzon Expressway, at the Km 24.6 area (between Susana and Alabang).
No one was initially reported injured in the accident that involved an L-300 FB utility vehicle, a passenger jeep, a Montero Sport-type sport utility vehicle, and a bus. –KG, GMA News
