Burglars break into TV reporter's house

Burglars broke into the house of a television reporter in a gated community in Quezon City before dawn Tuesday, taking several valuables including a laptop computer.

 

ABS-CBN television reporter Jay Ruiz discovered the burglary before dawn when he saw the house was in disarray, radio dzBB's Allan Gatus reported.

 

The report said Ruiz woke up at the room of his twin children at his house in Mapayapa Subdivision II in Holy Spirit village.

 

He saw the sala in disarray and many items scattered on the floor. Among the items taken were his laptop and car keys, the report added.

 

Investigators theorized the burglars may have sneaked into the house through the window.

 

Local village officials insisted the incident in the subdivision was "isolated," and said they would coordinate with the local homeowners' association and security personnel. — RSJ, GMA News
