DPWH: Heavy traffic expected on Lacson Street in Manila starting Monday
Motorists and commuters passing through A.H. Lacson Street in Manila may have to take alternate routes starting Monday, when the Department of Public Works and Highways starts a road widening project there. In a travel advisory, the DPWH said the road-widening activity at the former Forbes St. is in preparation for the C2-R7 (Forbes-España) Interchange Project. It advised motorists to take the following alternate routes to avoid traffic inconvenience: Southbound
1. From Dapitan, take Quezon Blvd, left to Lerma St., right to Nicanor Reyes St. (formerly Morayta), left to C.M. Recto Ave., left to Legarda St. to Nagtahan Flyover to destination. 2. From Dapitan, take Quezon Blvd to C.M. Recto Ave., left to Legarda St. to Nagtahan Flyover to destination. 3. From Dimasalang, take Vicente G. Cruz to Magsaysay Blvd to destination.
Northbound 1. From Nagtahan Flyover St. right to G. Tuazon St., left to M. Dela Fuente St. to Dimasalang to destination 2. From Magsaysay Blvd. – M. Dela Fuente St. right to G. Tuazon, left to Gen. Quintos St., right to Sobriedad St. to Matimyas St, left to Maceda St. to España to destination.
