Classes finally resume in Valenzuela City

After nearly a week of class suspensions due to high floodwaters, classes in Valenzuela City finally resumed on Friday.

 

The city government on Friday issued a public advisory citing the decision of the local Department of Education that classes in all levels were to resume.

 

"Classes in all levels will resume (on) Friday, July 27," it said on its Twitter account.

 

Since Monday, classes had been suspended in many parts of the city up to the high school level due to floodwaters there.

 

The floods stemmed from heavy rain that fell on parts of Metro Manila and Luzon last weekend.

 

Aside from the rain, the floodwater levels in parts of the city remained high because of the high tide. –KG, GMA News
