(Updated) MMDA: 14 flooded road sections now passable to vehicles


(Updated 2:45 p.m.) As of past 1 p.m., some areas that were not passable earlier on Thursday have been opened to traffic, the Metro Manila Development Authority said. On its Twitter and Facebook accounts the MMDA said at least 14 roads and road sections were declared passable to all vehicles. These are:
  • Life homes to Cainta Jucntion; is now passable to all type of vehicles (1:45 p.m.)
  • C6 to Bicutan exit, passable (2:05 p.m.)
  • Fatima Valenzuela, passable to all type of vehicles (1:55 p.m.)
  • Tramo/Ortigas Extention Pasig to Life Homes; passable to all types of vehicles (1:35 p.m.)
  • España-Lacson Manila; passable (12:30P.M.)
  • España to Antipolo: passable (12:30 p.m.)
  • Taft to Ayala Manila: passable (12:30 p.m.)
  • PGH to San Andres Manila: passable (12:30 p.m.)
  • Taft to Abad Santos Manila: passable (12:30 p.m.)
  • San andres Manila: passable (12:30 p.m.)
  • P.Burgos finance Manila: passable (12:30 p.m.)
  • Recto binondo Manila: passable (12:30 p.m.)

However, the EDSA P. Tuazon tunnel both bound remained not passable to all vehicles (NPAV) please take alternate route (1:20 p.m.) Marcos Hi-Way to Masinag; NPAV (1:00 p.m.) Early morning floods Earlier, least 28 areas in Metro Manila remained flooded, while 19 of them were not passable to vehicles. Meanwhile, the MMDA said the flooding at P. Tuazon tunnel at Epifanio delos Santos Avenue prompted authorities to divert light vehicles to service roads. No flood was reported at C5 as of 8:44 a.m., it added.
