Manila train station to hold vigil for Bicol patroness Tuesday night
Devotees of Our Lady of Peñafrancia will hold an overnight vigil Tuesday night at the Tutuban railway station in Manila before the image of Bicol's patroness leaves for home the next morning. "Ina" will return to Naga City on a special pilgrim train in time for the week-long celebration of the Peñafrancia fiesta in the third week of the month, according to a news item on the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines' site. PNR general manager Junio Ragrario will lead the sendoff for "Ina" at 7 a.m. Wednesday. The PNR earlier invited devotees to join “Ina’s” trip back home for special rates. The Pilgrim Train will make "prayer whistlestops" in Tagkawayan (Quezon), and areas in Camarines Sur including Del Gallego, Godofredo Reyes Sr., Ragay, Lupi, Sipocot, Libmanan and Pamplona. Escorting “Ina” home will be members of the “3 Million Rosaries” Crusade, the PNR management, and members of the Consortium of High School Batch ’75 classes of the University of Ateneo de Naga, University of Colegio de Sta. Isabel and the University of Nueva Caceres. — BM, GMA News
