1 robber killed, 2 arrested in Marikina

A suspected robber was killed while two of his suspected colleagues were arrested following an encounter with police early Thursday.

 

The Marikina City government said the incident occurred at 6:20 a.m. at the corner of J. Molina and E. Santos Streets in Concepcion village.

 

"Marikina PNP scores against crime again. One holdupper slain, two arrested along J. Molina cor E. Santos St., Concepcion," the city public information office said in a post on its Twitter account.

 

It did not immediately identify the slain and captured suspects.

 

Police in Metro Manila have been instructed to be on alert against robbers and thieves as the Christmas season draws closer. — RSJ, GMA News
