Metro Manila traffic rerouting schemes for Undas


Local government units in Metro Manila will implement traffic rerouting schemes starting October 31 until November 2 mostly in areas near cemeteries in connection with the observance of All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days.   In Manila, closed to traffic starting 6 a.m. Wednesday are streets near the Manila North Cemetery:  

  • Aurora Boulevard (from Dimasalang to Rizal Avenue)
  • Blumentritt (from A. Bonifacio to P Guevarra)
  • Dimasalang (from Makiling to Blumentritt)
  • Retiro (from Dimasalang to Blumentritt Extension)
  • P. Guevarra (from Cavite to Pampanga)
  • Leonor Rivera (from Cavite to Aurora Boulevard)
  Passenger jeepneys coming from Rizal Avenue/Blumentritt are advised to take Cavite street and turn right on L. Rivera or Isagani Streets and turn right on Antipolo Street toward their destination.   On the other hand, those jeepneys coming from Amoranto Street should turn right on Cavite street, then right on Bonifacio while those from Dimasalang street should turn right on Makiling and then right on Maceda.   Those going to La Loma and Chinese cemeteries from España are advised to take AH Lacson, Tayuman and Blumentritt, while those from Quiapo, Sta. Cruz, Tondo and Caloocan should take either Jose Abad Santos street or Rizal Avenue Extension.   In Caloocan City, closed to traffic are:  
  • Malabon-Caloocan Boundary (Tugatog and Letre)
  • Sangandaan (A. Mabini corner General San Miguel)
  • Sangandaan (A. Mabini corner A. Bato) near Sangandaan Cemetery, and
  • C3 Cabatuan to Rizal Avenue near La Loma Cemetery
  Jeepneys from City Hall going to Sangandaan should turn right to A. Bato, then left to Torres Bugallon, then left to P. Gomez, and another left to A. Mabini back to Manila. Vehicles from Dagat-dagatan going to Monumento, meanwhile, should turn left to Rizal Avenue to Monumento.   Jeepneys coming from Monumento going to Manila should turn right to 2nd Avenue left to F. Roxas street then right to Ocampo, then left to G. Santiago, then right again to R. Papa, then left to C. Namie street going straight to Hermosa to destination.   In Makati, closed to traffic from 12 midnight of October 31 to 12 midnight of November 2 are streets near Makati South Cemetery:  
  • Kalayaan Avenue (from Zapote to F. Zobel)
  • South Avenue (from Metropolitan to J. P. Rizal)
  • Vito Cruz (from South Avenue to Zapote)
  • N. Garcia (from Jupiter to J.P. Rizal)
  • Pililia (from J.P. Rizal to Kalayaan)
  Those from Ayala Ave. to J. P. Rizal should take Kamagong St., right at 1st corner then left to Metropolitan Ave., right to Zapote St. all the way to J. P. Rizal to destination.   From J. P. Rizal to Buendia, all vehicles to Buendia, left to E. Zobel, right to S. Osmeña St, left to Antipolo St., right to Hormiga St., left  to Trabaho St., right to Hippodromo, left to Don Chino Roces Ave. to destination.   The Makati City government lifted the implementation of the number coding scheme on November 1 and 2.   In Quezon City, closed to traffic from 4 a.m. of November 1 are:
  •  
  • stretch of A. Bonifacio Road from C3 up to Calavite street
  • stretch of Sta.Catalina from CDC to A. Bonifacio
  • Binuang street from CDC to A. Bonifacio
  • Magnas street from CDC to A. Bonifacio
  • Wacat stret from CDC to A. Bonifacio
  • Mayon street CDC!to A. Bonifacio
  • Lunas street from CDC to A. Bonifacio
  • Malindang street  from CDC to A. Bonifacio
  • Isarog street from CDC to A. Bonifacio
  • Iriga street from CDC to A. Bonifacio
  • Dr.Alejos street from CDC to A. Bonifacio
  • Iba street from CDC to A. Bonifacio
  • Mariveles street from CDC to A. Bonifacio
  • Calavite street from Amoranto street to A. Bonifacio.
