Report: Solon hurt in motorcycle accident on SLEX
A Mindanao-based congresswoman was rushed to a hospital in Makati City early Sunday after figuring in a freak motorcycle accident on a part of the South Luzon Expressway. Rep. Maria Valentina Plaza (Agusan del Sur) was brought to the Makati Medical Center after suffering bruises and cuts in the face, radio dzBB's Paulo Santos reported. The report cited initial information from the Philippine National Police's Highway Patrol Group indicating the accident occurred on the northbound lane of SLEX in Bicutan area. An initial investigation showed Plaza was riding a big bike when the vehicle hit a part of the road that was undergoing reblocking. Plaza was wearing protective gear at the time. The report said the accident ripped a part of her pants. The report also said investigators are verifying information there was no early warning device near the area being reblocked.
