Man falls from Guadalupe Bridge in Makati


A young man was rushed to a hospital after he fell from the Guadalupe Bridge in Makati City before noon Sunday. Police are still determining if the fall was an accident or a suicide attempt, according to a report by radio dzBB's Mao dela Cruz. The report said the incident occurred shortly after 10 a.m., when the man fell and landed at J.P. Rizal Street. At least three personnel from the city's public order and safety unit were quoted in the report as saying the man hit the ground nape first, and was bloodied. He was rushed to the Ospital ng Makati at Pembo. The man was described as about 20 years old, slim, fair-complexioned, and tall, and wearing a P.E. uniform that included a blue shirt and blue jogging pants. Investigators are verifying claims by witnesses that the man even blindfolded himself before sitting at the edge of the bridge and falling. — LBG, GMA News
