Blast along CM Recto Ave. causes tension; cops start probe
Police explosives experts are investigating an explosion that occurred at an old building along CM Recto Avenue in Manila Wednesday night. The Manila Police District said its initial findings indicate ingredients from old fireworks likely caused the explosion, radio dzBB reported early Thursday. No one was initially reported injured in the incident, which caused tension in the area. An initial investigation showed the explosion occurred at the old Ever Gotesco building. Debris and shards of glass fell from the building following the explosion. A separate report on dzRH radio said the blast damaged part of the building's ceiling.
