Cleanup of Serendra condo blast site starts
Nearly 24 hours after the incident, the cleanup of the blast scene at the posh Two Serendra condominium in Taguig City started Saturday afternoon.
At least three people had been killed while five were injured in the incident, even as investigators continue to find out what caused the powerful explosion.
Cleanup crew removed the debris from the area, including the delivery truck crushed by debris from the building, radio dzBB's Glen Juego reported.
Police are to further inspect the truck to get more leads about the blast.
Once the other debris is removed, the streets that were closed to traffic since Friday night's incident may be reopened, the report added.
Earlier Saturday, operatives from the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory inspect the parking lot near the blast site.
President Benigno Aquino ordered agencies involved in the investigation to cooperate and come up with unassailable findings.
Meanwhile, Interior Secretary Mar Roxas said investigators are to obtain statements of residents and witnesses on Sunday.
"We want to develop timeline narrative to be matched with (closed-circuit television) footage," he said on Twitter. — LBG, GMA News
