PUP suspends June 24 classes in Manila, San Juan campuses

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines on Monday announced that there would be no classes on June 24 in its campuses in Manila and San Juan Cities. In a post on its Facebook and Twitter accounts, the PUP noted June 24 was the foundation day of Manila, and the feast day of St. John the Baptist, San Juan's patron saint. For its part, San Juan City noted it would hold its annual St. John the Baptist float parade and "Basaan" motorcade on June 24. Also on June 24, San Juan City will hold its "Wattah! Wattah! street party" and festival Mass. San Juan City scheduled several activities on Monday, June 17, including a thanksgiving Mass and unveiling of the city's wall mural. — DVM, GMA News
