Part of Shaw Boulevard closed as man threatens to jump from building

A portion of Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City was closed to traffic early Thursday after a man threatened to jump from the 16th floor of a building there.

Police closed off the eastbound part of Shaw Boulevard near the corner of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue due to the tension, radio dzBB's Glen Juego reported.

It was not immediately clear why the man was threatening to jump from the building, the report added  (https://twitter.com/glenjuego/status/362740033951772672).

Police tried to keep the situation under control and keep onlookers from getting near the area.
