MMDA: Floods waist-deep in some areas of NCR due to heavy rain


Floods were waist-deep in parts of Metro Manila following a downpour Tuesday afternoon, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said.

In posts on its Twitter account, the MMDA said the flood at C5 Hypermart area in Pasig City was "waist-deep".

In Quezon City, the MMDA said parts of Mindanao Avenue were tire-deep, while the C5-Hypermart area was gutter-deep.

The C5-Libis-Citibank area was gutter-deep, while the northbound part of EDSA corner Main Aveue was gutter-deep.

Floods at EDSA Megamall northbound were tire-deep and gutter-deep at EDSA Kamayan to Mazda southbound.

Parts of EDSA corner Quezon Avenue were not passable to light vehicles, while floods at EDSA corner Gate 4 northbound were tire-deep.

Floods at EDSA Kamuning service road northbound were half-tire-high, rendering the stretch of road "not passable to light vehicles."

Parts of Marikina City were also not passable due to floods, the city's public information office said. These include:
