PNoy, Roxas drop by ‘martilyo gang’ crime scene at SM North Edsa
President Benigno Aquino III dropped by SM North Edsa Sunday night to check the crime scene of a robbery that happened earlier in the evening.
Aquino visited the mall in Quezon City around 9 p.m. to personally inspect the jewelry shop that robbers, allegedly part of the so-called “Martilyo Gang,” broke into, according to a report on GMA’s “Breaking News.”
Aquino was with Philippine National Police Director General Alan Purisima and Quezon City Police District Police Chief Superintendent Richard Albano.
The President was seen asking security personnel questions, the television report added.

After Aquino left, Interior Secretary Mar Roxas arrived at the crime scene at the ground floor of the mall's department store.
The mall tightened its security after the incident, the report said.
