2 dead, 1 wounded in Manila City Hall underpass shooting

At least two men were shot dead while a third was wounded in a shooting at an underpass near Manila's City Hall Thursday evening.

One of the fatalities was killed on the spot while the other died while being treated at the Philippine General Hospital, radio dzBB's Manny Vargas reported Friday.

Police are still gathering leads on the suspects and are trying to determine the motive for the shooting.

The report said one of the fatalities was described as 35 to 40 years old, and wearing camouflage shorts and a blue shirt.

The second was described as 24 years old and died at the PGH.

Investigators are hoping to interview the wounded victim, described as a resident of Intramuros.

An initial investigation showed the three victims were walking along the underpass at the Lagusnilad near City Hall at 6:30 p.m. when several shots were heard.

So far, however, police could not get anyone to give them any solid leads on the suspects. — ELR, GMA News
